CMM 2021 – finally live again on site!
Finally live again on site to discover, touch and network – after the digital edition in 2020, the third edition of CMM will take place as a physical event with digital elements. Hannover. Finally live again on site to discover, touch and network – after the digital edition in 2020, the third edition of CMM will take place as a physical event with digital elements. With the key topic "Wireless Networking Technologies and Mobility Systems: applied", the focus from November 9 to 11 at the Hanover Exhibition Center will be on solutions for wireless networking technologies and mobility systems. The focus is on components and IT infrastructures required for the development and connectivity of mobile machines and plants as well as production and enterprise systems.
"After last year's purely digital CMM, we are pleased to finally welcome companies, speakers and visitors back on our exhibition grounds", said Jutta Jakobi, Global Director Digital Business, Deutsche Messe AG and responsible for CMM. "At the exhibition site in Hanover, we offer the best conditions for all participants to present themselves in an appealing ambience, corona-compliant, and to share information about new technologies and available applications."
The Association Electrical Automation within the VDMA, as the conceptual sponsor of CMM, is also looking forward to seeing the community again. Dr. Reinhard Heister, Managing Director, VDMA Electrical Automation: "The community of mobile machines and wireless networks needs an event to present technologies and use cases. With CMM, we are creating a center of gravity to connect and interact with the people who are driving the development and use of mobile machines."

CURPAS, association for unmanned systems and partner of Deutsche Messe since the first CMM, is looking forward to the confex in Hanover. "Unmanned mobility will become very significant for many areas of our lives. This includes air cabs, unmanned ferries and much more. All of this is inconceivable without digitization and wireless communications. We look forward to networking", said Prof. Dr. Uwe Meinberg, Chairman of the board, CURPAS.
CMM consists of three elements: an exhibition area, an area for showcases and a congress section on two conference stages. Parts of the presentations as well as lectures and discussions will be streamed live and will be available on-demand on the website after the event. "With this combination of on-site and digital elements, CMM offers optimal participation opportunities and achieves maximum reach", emphasized Jutta Jakobi.
The event focuses on three main topics that work together to answer all questions related to wireless solutions for machines, plants, production and enterprise systems: wireless networking technologies, mobility systems as well as basics and services.
CMM's main target groups are companies in the following industries: agriculture, construction, energy and environment, media, metal & electronics (incl. mechanical engineering/shipbuilding), public sector, pharma and health as well as transport and logistics.
CMM is primarily aimed at employees from the divisions research, product development and management, software development, business development as well as plant management and production planning.
